Our mission

The mission of Christ Community Church is to provide every man, woman and child within a five-mile radius repeated opportunities to hear and accept the life saving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone {every man, woman, and child} with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ” (Colossians 1:28 - NIV)

Our core values

  1. Lost people matter to God.  This truth must motivate and permeate our ministries.  God loved us so much that He gave His Son to pay the penalty for our sins (Luke 5:32; 19:10, John 3:16-17, 1 Tim. 1:15, 2 Peter 2 :9).
  2. The church is the most important agency on the earth.  The Body of Christ is the hope of the world.  Through the ministries of our church, God intends that people experience transformation and grow in community into the likeness of Christ.  The church is the only agency to which God has committed the task of the Great Commission (Eph.5:25, 1 Cor.5:18-20, Luke 24:47-49, Acts 1:8).
  3. Anointed leadership and a mobilized laity constitute the catalyst for growing the church.  It is the will of God that the church should grow.  He has chosen to utilize anointed leaders with spiritual gifts of teaching and preaching to lead believers as they together “grow the church”, each using his or her gift for the common good of all (Eph.4:11-13, 1 Cor.12).
  4. Winning people to Jesus and enfolding them in churches is the most effective way to fulfill Christ’s commission.  When Jesus gave the Great Commission to His disciples in Jerusalem, the emphasis was on the fact that they would receive power to accomplish the task of proclaiming the Good News to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  Our immediate target area is the 15 mile radius around our church. We will proclaim the gospel repeatedly there as we participate in the worldwide outreach of the gospel (Luke 24:47-49, Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 1:8; 2:42-47).
  5. Kingdom living will characterize our church life.  This means that in our church we will to be a biblically functioning community where love for one another is practiced, where the gifts of the Spirit are displayed in the fullness of the Spirit, and where the fruit of the Spirit is obvious… communities where the Good News prevails…where people hear and receive the Word, are baptized, added to the church, instructed and nurtured in the church, continue in fellowship in the church, and reach out into their networks of influence (John 13:35,  Matt.15:3; 19:37-40,; 24:14, Acts 2:41-47,  Eph.2:4-9).
  6. The Gospel is never changing and forever new.  This means that we will preach, teach, and propagate the never- changing gospel until Jesus comes.  And, because the gospel is the Good News-forever new, we will constantly and intentionally find new and better ways to win people to Jesus and grow them into fully devoted disciples (Matt.9:16-17, 1 Cor.9:22).
  7. Giving to the Lord and to others characterizes our lifestyle as a church and as individuals. In our church, we love to give. It is who we are, a giving and caring community. We give ourselves first to the Lord and then to each other as we reach out to our community and to the world (Mal. 1:6-14, 2 Cor. 8:2-7).
  8. Excellence honors God and inspires people.  This means that our priorities will reflect what is important to us in terms of giving the best of our time, energy, and resources to advance the Kingdom.  As we model excellence, it will encourage others to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
